How Real Is Your "Religion"

Our Greenwell Springs Sunday morning message was for all who have doubts or concerns about how real your relationship with Christ is.
James 1:26-27

The Bible makes a distinction between real religion and false religion. Vain means your religion is empty. False religion brings bondage. Real religion brings liberty.

I - Real religion is marked by "controlled conversation" vs 26
The test is how you use your words Monday through Saturday.
"Your words speak the contents of your heart" Matthew 12:34

II - Real religion is marked by "compassionate concern"
The orphan and widow were the most needy in James' day. They are examples of the homeless and helpless. "And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’" Matthew 25:40

III - Real religion is marked by "consecrated conduct" vs 27
We are to witness to the world the love of Jesus, but there are things we should not do, and places we should not go.
