She did it! Erin completed her 2nd year of AWANA in spite of a few really hard verses to remember. She memorized (or at least honed her reading skills) 28 verses in all this year. And while she may not have always felt like reciting them, I know I am not the only One who is proud of her.
Her vest is full and so is my heart! If I could just get up the initiative to sew her last patch on...

Yippee! May your sweet daughter always treasure hiding His Word in her heart. It's truly one of the most important ways she'll ever invest her time. Great job, Mama, for encouraging her in something that is so, so important.
ReplyDeleteYay!!! My husband leads Sparks and my little one just graduated from Cubbies, so I was singing that song with you;). Sometimes it is hard to get in all those verses (especially with two in TnT's), but the reward is so worth it. They are indeed hiding them in their hearts. I know I wished I memorize more Scripture as a child because it takes me so much longer now that I am older. But it is worth the work, isn't it?
