Christmas Eve

This year Patrick & I decided to let the kids open presents on Christmas Eve. It was a day that we were able to stay home all day, let the kids play, not have to rush off anywhere... And since we have never made a big deal about the jolly fellow in red, it didn't matter if it was actually Christmas day or not.

So here is the conversation overheard in the living room this morning after Erin woke up to find gifts under the tree....

Erin "Can we open presents today?"
Patrick "Did Santa bring you presents?"
Erin "No, Mom and Dad did!"

And he asked again, and she was most certain, it was in fact, her parents who purchased the gifts. Was she any less excited? I seriously doubt it! Not after marking off 23 days on her calender this month.
